
Here at Forton Boat Fitters we only use the best quality shells. Sizes of shells range from standard narrowboats, 45ft to 60ft long by 7ft wide or for a more spacious boat, Widebeams 50ft to 60ft long by 10ft to 12ft wide.

The style of the shell can also vary from Traditional to Cruiser


This shell retains the style of the old working boats but with the crews comfort in mind. The cabin area is extended to the rear covering to engine compartment. The traditional boat has integral hand rails on the coach roof.


This shell has all the features of the Traditional but with a larger rear deck area. This style makes for a more sociable boat with good safety aspects and outdoor seating. The cruiser boat has tubular handrails fitted to the roof.
